Research and Innovation Conference 2012 - Call for abstracts - 2012-09-17
This year's Research and Innovation Conference will take place on Monday 3rd December 2012 in Education South, MRI, 9:00am - 5:00pm.
Translating world-class research into innovations to improve healthcare is vital to our continued success as a University Hospital and this conference is an excellent opportunity to share ideas and promote research.
The conference will feature keynote addresses from:

Icon Series for Translational Medicine Speaker University of Liverpool
Developing Novel Approaches to improving the Benefit-Risk Ratio of Drugs
Professor Yanick Crow
Saint Mary's / University of Manchester
Cherish the rare: an example of Mendelian disease research
Other highlights of the programme will include:
- The Manchester Biomedical Research Centre launch event with talks from Professor Ian Jacobs, Mike Deegan, Professor Colin Sibley, Professor Graeme Black.
- Talks from some of Manchester's leading researchers
- Oral and poster presentation competitions, celebrating excellent outstanding multidisciplinary research. Prizes to be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
Audience
This conference is aimed at researchers, clinicians, nurses midwifes and allied health professionals and scientists from CMFT and the wider Manchester area. Call for abstracts!
We are now calling for abstracts for posters and oral presentations to be submitted. For more information please download the documents, including the abstract proforma at the bottom of the page.
Please note abstracts and posters should be written in a style that is understandable to a lay audience. Anyone interested in submitting a presentation or poster should submit via email to Brenda.johnson@cmft.nhs.uk by no later than Friday 19th October 2012.
