Arthritis Research UK

The Arthritis Research UK Epidemiology Unit is a unique international research institution located within The University of Manchester, with over 100 research and support staff.

The unit focuses on the epidemiology of the major rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders

The unit receives substantial core funding from Arthritis Research UK, in addition to financial support from grant bodies such as the Medical Research Council, the Wellcome Trust and the Department of Health. 

Work includes both laboratory and field-based research and consists of three divisions; clinical epidemiology, genetics and genomics, and infrastructure.
